Beware: The half of the lake where the boat ramp is located is less tha 18” deep and there’s no channel to the rest of the lake.

After launching he boat, getting stuck in the mud, paddling back, and lifting the boat out of the water, we had a good day. (the landowner did offer to let us put back in at the overflow when he saw we were struggling, but we opted to not fight the boat again. The overflow was chewed up with large bovine footprints and holes. Appreciate the offer, though!)

Caught 4 fish by the boat ramp on frogs, but caught the majority on green wacky senkos on the bank adjacent to the boat ramp. Also picked up a couple speed burning a chatterbait over the grass tops in deeper water casting from the bank.

Frustrating start to an otherwise fun morning. Tons of smaller fish and easy to catch.
