Arrived to 72 degree aire temp but blue bird skies and not much wind or clouds for the AM. Got a little wind and some clouds in the early afternoon. Lake is full, seemd a little more than East TX tea colored and I don’t have water temp as my depth finder is not working (again). Fished from 8:30 to 4:00, caught 20 between 1 and 3.5 lbs, all fought hard. Two baits stood out – Tx rigged creature bait and swimbait with underspin.  Tried topwater but probably was too late. Didn’t want a stickbait (tried a number of different colors), chatterbait, swimjig, or cranks. Not a bad day for the middle of July in TX. Wish I could have beared the heat longer to take advantage of the late afternoon shadows around the numerous trees the line the lake.
