Reservation Number : 40229
Property Name : Backside of the Moon Lake
Reservation Date : 06/20/2024 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 10 LMB from Dink to 3.5 Lbs. Most fish in the 2.5 to 3 lbs range
Lures Used : Wacky Senko, lipless crank, spinner with white skirt, chatter bait, spare bill crank, whopper plopper, drop shot

Most fish caught in the channel, only a few were caught off points or rock structure. All the fish were quite pale, but healthy and strong. There is a lot of suspended debris and the water was quite muddy, we assumed from all the rain over the past month. Lipless crank was the most productive lure used. We both missed good size fish, next to the boat where we just didn’t hook them efficiently. Cloud cover kept it cool. Wather temp was 83, visability about two feet.

I bet lake is full. Was there a few weeks ago and was 3 feet low. In a good day normal visibility is a foot maybe. It's a turbid lake.  If it is two feet must be from the fresh water (desperately needed). Tara clears up a little when a bunch of fresh water comes in. You have a good day. There are some good fish in Backside and quite the adventure getting in and out. Lots of wildlife on that property as well!
