Went to the Bluffs yesterday with one of the guys I work with.  We only fished from 8am to Noon.  The fishing, compared to my last trip there, was tough, but still good.  We caught a total of 17 Bass, all over the slot.  I caught the largest of the day, a 7 pounder on a Bobby’s Perfect Frog on my first cast.  Needless to say that big Bass was a great start to the day. My buddy stuck with a Buzzbait. From there it was sort of a slow pick on topwaters for the next hour, with only 4 more fish caught on top.  Around 9:30am we switched to throwing a Chatterbait and a Spinnerbait and things heated up a little, as we caught 5 fish in the next 30 minutes.  10am to 11am was dead for us and I spent a little too much time fighting the weeds on the trolling motor.  (The wind had started howling pretty good.)  Then the last hour we swtiched to the Fluke and put the last 7 fish in the boat.  Most fish were 3 lbs or better.  Solid fish, just not the numbers I’m used to at the Bluffs.  Love this place, going back next week.
