Late post, but fished the morning of Father’s Day at Long Lake. 84 degree water, 79 degree temps when I got the kayak in at 6:30am.  5 mph wind early and then went to 10+

Normally the topwater bite is solid at Long Lake, but nothing doing that day.  The lake was eerily quiet with only a few blowups on shad to see.  Used t-rig, wacky rig, jig, Neko, drop shot, deep diving crank, flukes, chatterbait, pretty much just about anything and they weren’t having it. 

Ended up with one cull and only missed one other small bite.  All good though, beautiful day and great property.  That’s fishing, some days, they just aren’t in the mood.  This lake has great fish and can’t wait to come back.  Got to see Eric on the way out and always great to chat with him.
