Great day of fishing for my son and myself. Clear skies, 74° at 6:00 AM and no wind. We started out on topwater trolling the banks and caught 5 Bass in the 15”-18” range. The wind started picking up so I went to soft plastics and caught another 8 Bass with the largest weighing 6 pounds. We caught her in the old creek channel on the North end of the lake. My son went to crank baits and caught 5 very nice Crappie on a Silver Shad medium diver. He switched over to a Silver Shad Rattle-Trap and caught 8 more Bass with his largest weight 4 pounds. We found the fish at the 6’-8’ depth on the ledges of the old creek channel running up the middle of the lake. We love the fish in this pond, they are very healthy and strong for thier size.
