Beautiful morning on Toby, water was the highest we’ve ever seen it, 2-3 feet higher & going over spillway.  Water color was still great, water temp around 80.  All our visible markers along the creek channel (trees!) were under water, so extra work for the depth finder trying to keep us on structure.  Most of our action was in 1-2 places on the lake:  early with poppers on the point across from the launch, and later with light colored cranks on the channel just out from the ramp.  Lots and lots of submerged weeds to fish through, our fish seemed to be holding on the edge of the weeds near deepest water.  Caught several nice largemouth, one near five pounds.  The other 10 or so were those fat, scrappy F1 florida strain bass that put on a great aerial show.  15 fish total for the day, none were culling size.  Our top 5 fish weighed 21 pounds total.  So, the lake was a little stubborn, but put out nice size & great fight.
