I bank fished Lake TCU today from 9-3. The water remians high (about a foot over the normal bank) but the water is now murky to muddy and the vegetation (Coontail) is emergent in clumps all over the lake. The morning was 76, cloudy and still after an early morning rain, becoming 85, high cirrus with a light breeze at noon and, by 2 pm 89, blue bird skies with an 8-10 mph wind from the north. The water temp (surface) was 74 when I arrived.

There was no top water action. All the fish were taken with a white spinnerbait, silver Colorado blade and Paka Chunk trailer in chartruse, all at the north end of the lake. Two bass (and a third that threw the hook) were on the grass line while a very large and aggressinve bluegill hit the senko 2 feet off the north bank. No strikes on the crankbaits (sexy shad), lipless crank (red eye shad) nor the jig punched directly into  the vegetation in both white and dark purple colors.

There were two huge carp lolling around the center of the lake all morning and quite a few small bluegill around the dock. There were no senko bites around or under the dock today.

If you decide to fish this pond in the next two weeks or so (depending on more rain) I would suggest Wellingtons or hip waders for bank fishers and launching a boat would be, in my view, very difficult. There is 3-9 inches of water extending a full 20 feet from the normal boat launch bank area and it is extremely soft.
