Got to fish Wildcard and Little A for the first time and I am definitely going to be back.  Caught 23 in total, 10 at Wildcard and 13 at Little A , with the largest going 3lbs 11oz caught at Little A. Both lakes fished totally different and Wildcard had a foot of visibility while Little A had a good 3 feet of vis. Started at Wildcard and caught a 3 ½ pounder within 5 minutes on a Pop-R, and the rest of the fish were caught on a swing jig along the weedline.  I tried a couple other things but the swim jig was the ticket. Healthy weedline around the lake with most of the depth around 14-15ft, with the deepest spot I marked at 17.

At Little A I caught fish all around the lake on underspin, hover rig, stick bait and TRIG. Like Wildcard, Little A has a healthy weedline and most of the fish were caught in the 8-14 ft zone along the weeds.  I am not a weed connoisseur but I would find isolated patches of the weed shown in the below pic out in deeper water and would usually catch a couple bass at each spot.  Also found a couple feeding schools in 14ft and the underspin was the go to.

The all-weather roads are GREAT.   With all the rain, and lack of 4-wheel drive, I was worried my Atlas couldn’t make it back to Wildcard but no problem whatsoever for the vehicle or the kayak trailer.    Ramps are in great shape and made launching the kayak easy.  Got to catch up with Joe in the afternoon and always great to connect with him.  Glad to hear everyone survived the recent storms.
