We decided to head up to flying J and try to tough it out after the overnight rains.  Unfortunately the area of the boat ramp was overgrown with grass about 2' tall and the bank area was extremely muddy.  Rather than risk causing damage to the property, or getting stuck we chose to leave.  For anybody planning to fish here, the vegetation near the ramp is EXTREMELY thick and would be frog fishing only territory. The half of the lake closer to the damn looked clear and fishable though.  Until we get a good dry week, I would avoid bringing any type of boat except a kayak.
