Fished Salt Lick on Thursday and had another great day.  Winds were 10mph early, up to 20 around noon.  Water temp was 77 and mostly cloudy skies.  As a result, the fish were holding on the weedline like the past few times when it was sunny.  Caught them a bit further off the weedline and near laydowns/haybails right up next to the shore.  Topwater was solid early, then died off quickly with the stronger winds.  Moved to soft plastics and ahd success putting myself downwind.  Always love Salt Lick as you can work on a variety of techniques and usually a couple of them will work.  Great, strong fish that were chasing some shad as Eric put another load of 20k+ in last week.  Got to chat with Eric which is great as always.  Left around 12:30pm as the wind was rocking my kayak pretty good and 20 fish in the morning was a great day in my book.
