Shorter trips seem to be the norm as of late, and this turned out to be the same. just a little over 180 minutes on the water. Starting around 830, later than desired the first cast on an 8 pound test, spinning rod with a small wacky was a break off. Not sure the size but certainly added to the a.m. coffee and the temperatures were very nice at the start. 
 

Water was exceptionally clear with the grass growing heavily in the small lake, which is all I fished all the way to the top in some areas and about 1 foot to 18 inches in many areas with a few pockets in the middle part of the lake. Water level was full, again at the small lake, the main bluebonnet lake, looked a bit low and had heavy grass coverage except in the channels, but I did not fish

Good bite on the swim jig, but couldn't get it to the shore. All were caught on the wacky and a chatter, all of darker colors.

Due to the time constraints, stayed on the bank and along most of the shoreline on the side of the dock, which was easy to traverse and provided plenty of action.

Always amazed at how clean the landowner keeps the entire property, as it was once again mowed recently and in great shape
