Thank you to David Hare on using white top water. We spent the afternoon going up and down the west side throwing frogs.  The lake and property is in great shape. The water is going over the spillway and about 1 to 2 foot visibility.  The cat tails are so dense this year not much chance of bank fishing the west side.  We only fished  the main lake didn't even stop to see the other ponds.  The owner (Jerry) stopped by and we talked for a few minutes.  The bass are very healthy and strong.  Around 7 pm lots of beaver action going on near the big culvert that crosses the road.  The beavers have an unlimited food source in those tall cat tails.  The bass raider boat is in good shape and easy to launch.  You should plan to get out there while the lake is still full and easy to fish all those pockets in the cat tails.

The west side produced more strikes. We didn't have much action east of the dock. We caught some nice ones at the far north end.  We were only throwing white.  We tried other colors but not many takers.  Also I recommend a ribbit or horny toad type bait that can be fished weedless.  Throw it right to the edge of the cat tails or just into them.  We never tried any other ponds. In the pass we have caught nice bass on upper Jer Mar.  Also there are a few nice fish in blue gill pond. We also found that if they come up short on the strike stop reeling and let it sink for a few seconds. Have fun and throw those top water baits. We tried Spro frogs but the bass wanted the leg action on the ribbit.
