Fished Saturday, 7/7 with my son-in-law and grandson. Morning started out rough when the plug in the v-hull came out and would not stay in and then found my battery to be dead. Used the flat bottom boat that was next to the v-hull and just paddled the large lake. Hope that was OK.
Fishing started a little slow but by 8:30 we were into a pretty good bite. Ended up catching about 15 bass (kept three totaling about two pounds) and countless bream. Largest bass was about three pounds but most in the two pound range. The bream were huge. Caught most on spinner baits.
Lost two very large bass on worms but did not get a steady bite on them. They got down into the grass and I could not horse them out.
Met the Landowner and he was very nice and offered us some good tips. Will definitely be back.
Be careful of wasp nests in the boats in around the storage area.
Did not have anything with me to fix the plug on the v-hull. It appears to have been sealed in with silicon but it will not hold under pressure.
