Fingerling
Took a guest to Julian Lake for a good Sunday morning. The grass has grown considerably since I’ve been there in May. In May, I had a ton of fun ripping shallow running cranks across the tops of the grasses, the tops of which were then still 18” below the surface. They’ve since grown to the surface, making much of the lake tough fishing.
The fish are still very active, you just need techniques to get them out of the heavy cover. We did have some fantastic topwater explosions on frogs and money hounds. Very fun!
