I fished Harding Lake on Saturday, March 30, from 7:45am – 1:45pm.  I caught 30 LMB, with 23 culled and seven returned.  The seven returned were 15” to 22.5”, with the big one being a spawned out female at 6.5lbs.  This lake fishes a bit smaller than it looks as the the majority of the fish were caught in the original creek beds and runoff channels, with a very shallow shoreline further demonstrated by the cattails that extend around the perimeter of the lake.  The boat available for member use is an extra large size pontoon boat, which has plenty of size and stability for 3 people, and is accessed via a sturdy dock.  Although there is a 30 lb trolling motor on the boat, this boat requires at least 45 lb thrust and my 55 lb trolling motor moved it with ease even in the wind, so bring your own trolling motor, battery and anchor.
