Booked the afternoon at Travis, thanks to Dan’s recent report about success with a spinnerbait I started with it. Prior to launching the boat I walked the north bank and hooked up with two bass on 10 or so casts using the spinnerbait. Game on! Got the boat in the water and headed around the lake beating the bank. From noon till 3 they nailed the spinnerbait, near 3 the wind picked up and shifted and it was wacky worm time. Caught about 15 plus on the spinner and all the rest on a wacky worm. Two good bass 21 inches, a 5 2 lb and a 5 12 lb were the catch of the day, both on the spinnerbait. Every fish came off the bank or in 3 feet or less. Water is off color but that’s Travis’s norm, temp was 65 avg. Fun day because I really like spinnerbait fishing, when those big fish nail it it’s battle time. All the fish were healthy except one 3 lb er with one eye. Go fish.
