I knew it was going to be a tough day with the wind and rain storms the night before. I had the day off though so why not give it a shot. Water was 67 degrees, air temp was 54 and wind was a steady 10mph when we arrived at 8am. Beautifully maintained property so we were happy to just be out there. Took about an hour to find where they were biting. There’s a few submerged trees by the island with the tree and that’s where all the fish we caught came from. All 3 had to be culled. Caught everything on a green pumpkin pit boss. By 9:30am the wind was 15-20mph. Didn’t catch a thing after that. Stayed till around 1 but didn’t want to battle the wind anymore. I’ll be back at Nix Ranch soon though.
