Property Name : Tara Lake
Reservation Date : 03/12/2024 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 35
Lures Used : Texas Rigged Creature

Hit the water right at daylight and it was around 40 degrees. Hit a few fish rather quickly on the NW side then it turned off. Was a tough bite as it was cloudy and remained around 54  until late afternoon. Water temp was 60. We tried deep, shallow, marked brush, dam and just couldnt get a pattern. Come up with a few by the dam and then fInally made our way back to the north end and and worked the shallows and started getting some action. Around 2:00 pm the bite picked up and we ended up with 35 fish fishing till 5:00 pm. Most were 2 lbs, with a few 3 to 4 lbs. Like previous post, lots of debris in the water. Fun day but the slow bite up front was tough and the wind was a beating.

Hey Stephen –

Nice production!  Headed out there on Tues and was curious, seems most those came from shallow areas?  Spawn seems to be in effect?

Water clear or stained?  Curious, did you keep slow pace with Tx Rigs most of day?

Anything helpful – thanks man!

Fish were caught everywhere. Caught several in the shallows though. Water was a bit cloudy from recent rains, and I would imagine it will be the same since we are getting so much more. Fish would hit bait moving or sitting. Just go black and blue fleck Tx rigged , tokyo, ned or even hover rigged and you will be fine.
