Good outing at Shady Grove. Fished 11am-5pm, air temp was in the 50s and cloudy with steady 10mph wind made it little chilly. Started around tank#1, it has vegetation less than a foot(likely 6-10”) below the surface so started with a whopper plopper on the south side, caught few and plenty of missed blow up. Found some holes in the grass when I got to the west side of tank#1, ran a chatterbait along the hole edges and caught most of the fish this way. Took a 30min break after walking around tank#1 and proceeded over to tank#3 after the break. The submerged vegetation in tank#3 was maybe 6” or less from the surface but has some holes in the grass on the west side, caught only 2 in tank#2 on a rage swimmer weedless rig. Tried the south and east side of tank#2, caught only 1, the submerged vegetation was also 6” or less from the surface but no visible holes in the grass in tank#2. Caugth 21 total mostly 2-3lb and 6 were 1-2lb.
