Fished Heartbrand from noon to 6 on a nice February afternooon with clear skies. Started out with a brisk breeze that eased in late afternoon.  Lake is full, visibility around a foot. Action was slow but fairly steady except for midafternoon lull. All the bass were good size, mostly 3 to 5 lb and no dinks. A couple were popping full of eggs.  No ctiona at all with moving baits except near the banks. One catfish decided to eat a chatterbait.

Ranch looks good as always. Saw a couple of deer and a group of swans, as well as my first bluebonnets of the year on the drive in. Met friendly Jordan and his young family on the way out of the property.
