Reservation Number : 38526
Property Name : Hill Country Ranch
Reservation Date : 02/14/2024 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 3; 2 were under 14”: 1 was 21”(largest I have ever caught here)
Lures Used : Green senko w/ keel weighted hook and spin blade tail

I fished Tarpley on Feb 14 from around 9-2.
Great news is this property has filled up since some of the last reports.  The water is above the edge of the ramp and I had no problems launching or loading my kayak directly on the trailer.

The water level was good and I was able to go up a little into each area to the far left and right. There was very little surface vegetation, but good vegetation along the left and right. I still found the max depth to be 18-20’.  Water color was good with clarity about 3-5’.
I caught all three (2 culls) off the left bank. There is a secondary(outside) grassline and I casted over it toward the center and used a slow, jerk bait retrieve.
The fish were taking the lure, but not the hook (I lost count on how many).

Fortunately, I was able to land this 21”. I wanted to get it back into the water quickly, so I didn't get a weight.

this is my largest ever at Tarpley and I have probably been fishing here since 2011(?)!!!
