Had a clear Friday afternoon calendar so fishing it is given the rainy weekend forecast. On the water 1:30pm, mostly overcast and upper 60s air temp with wind 14mph early afternoon then calm down below 10mph late afternoon. Water temp was upper 50s and lake level is good although it was lower than my previous visit, the old dock piling is visible at least 4 inches above water. Soil is soft with all the rain, it might be tricky to launch a heavier boat. The fish were holding tight around laydowns/timber, not much activity in open water. caught majority of the fish on the east side and northwest laydowns. The southwest laydowns only produce a couple. The northeast point by the concrete Texas map that usually holds fish only produce one 2.5 pounder. Caught 15 total, 3 X 3lb and rest were 2-2.5lb.
