Fished 6-0 yesterday from noon to dusk. Must have been a lot of rain in Cleburne, lake is going over the spillway and the water was as stained as I’ve seen it here (2-3’ visibility instead of cyrstal clear). Water temp was 53 degf and rose to 57 on the downwind side later in the day. Struggled for the first few hours, caught 2 culls on TX rig randomly around the perimeter, but no real pattern – tried fishing sunken timber with TX rig, the margins with a senko, jerk bait, lipless…. they weren’t feeding. The rise in water level has all the weeds around the margins sumerged by about a foot – around 5 pm as the water warmed up a few degrees they started biting on a white senko twitched over the weeds in the coves on the far side of the lake. Ended up with another 6 LMB (one looked like a guadalupe…), largest at 3lb. Great day to be outside with the weather in the 60’s and a lite breeze.
