My son Mike Svoboda (also PWF) and I fished Waco Creek Lodge on Sunday June 10.  It was a hot muggy summer day (96-97), but a light wind made it doable.  We caught 55 fish in total between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm.  Of the 55, we harvested 10 Bass and 1 Crappie.  There is a lot of grass in all three creeks, so we used primarily spinnerbaits, but the main lake is open and we used primarily deep diving crank baits.  The size of the fish is great, they are fat and healthy and very strong.  The biggest fish caught went 10lbs and was 25 1/2 inches, right off the end of the Check-It Stik.  (Is this April?) The second biggest was 22 1/2”.  The 200 mile trip was well worth it.  The next trip we plan to stay both nights in the cabin so we can fish till dark.  The boats are set up very nice as well, especially if it was a real windy day.  Terrific property.
