Fished East Lake first time 10am-3pm, started in mid 30s air temperature and low 50s water temp, sunny clear sky with low wind made it less chilly, was planning to fish West Lake for the day given I had success there in past couple of visit, but the V Hull Jon boat have some tape patches so didn’t want to take a chance plus east lake water looked better so east lake it is. Covered the dock side first and found few in 6 to 8ft of water before and past the cove. Took a lunch break and covered the east side, found a 4 pounder at the point with laydown opposite of the cove then next few cast the biggest fish of the day a 5 pounder both on OneKnocker in Rayburn Red. Caught couple more 2 pounder in the same point on DT10 in 10ft of water. Caught 11 total, 1 X 5lb, 1 X 4lb, couple 3 pounder and most were 2-2.5lb. There wasn’t a long period between catches so overall it was a very good outing.
