Well, another nice day on the water.  Unfortunately, this water is only at about 10% capacity...you can see the potential.  The pond was 2-6 foot deep with a lot of vegetation.  We threw crankbaits in the open areas and gave up soon due to the amount of grass the bait would catch.  Then we switched to weighted and weightless plastics (watermellon color), and we probably had hits on every 4^th cast so the action was fun.  We got a few small ones up to the kayak before losing them.  With the gear we had and the long cast we were not able to make any type of hook sets.  So,we got skunked, but we had a great time and the fish had our attention the entire time.  We were there only a couple of hours.  we had skipped lunch and didn’t bring anything with us so our stomachs got the best of us or we would have stayed longer.  

The deeper end next to the water control valve produced the most activity.  Needs a lot of water, but still a very enjoyable afternoon!
