I didn't have high hopes when I got here. Higher pressure after a little cold front had ruined my previous two days at another lake. But I figured I would try a new spot. Right off I got a bite near the old dock and that perked me up. Just past the dock I caught my first fish of the day on a HPH glide. Three pounds or so, but it went nuts and took off when I set the hook and I got to fight him in a little. When I eventually tied in a chatterbait I caught several pretty fast. Floated around doing that for a while, letting the wind push me. I tried a few glides and caught some fish, but they weren't as consistent as the chatter. After a while I let the wind push me to the dam. I got out and fished from the bank. Right by the bank next to the draw down I caught a long one. I'd guess it was five or six pounds. She was skinny for how long she was and would probably be an easy seven in early spring.
