I took advantage of a slight weather break and fished the morning at Grain Bin. Temp was 75 degrees at sunrise with a slight breeze. It was 95 at noon when I left.
I only caught two 15 inch bass on topwater spooks. Had several frog blowups in the thick coontail. Tried a variety of soft plastics and crankbaits but no dice.
The lake is 3ft low and has about 5ft of visibility. There is a lot of coontail and pond weed so using the large pontoon with a strong trolling motor is very difficult. The conditions now are perfect for a kayak.
