Reservation Number : 37016
Property Name : Double A Lake
Reservation Date : 07/29/2023 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 27 LMB, 3 lbs to 8.12
Lures Used : Chatterbait, buzzbait, Trig Ole monster worms and brushhog

Had a fantastic day fishing Double A today, ended the day with catching 27 high quality and real tough brutes! Water clear to +5 feet and temperature was 88. Grass is still in good shape. Started the day throwing some top water and caught 7 from 3 lbs to 6.3 lbs. Then rigged up and started throwing the worms and brushhogs in junebug and had great production with both. The fish were in 12 to 15 feet of water,  Yep it was hot. Caught the majority on the west side center where it drops from 12 to 30 feet. The 8 pounder however did break my rod but no complaints from here! Many thanks to Joe for allowing us all to enjoy this awesome lake!

I guess we should update the property descriptions with a warning about rod-breaking fish ๐Ÿ˜.  Those fish are super strong, Joe is raising some real brutes!

It died with honor. Rather loose a rod like that, one  having been through many battles than any other way. I hope Sylvester’s rod was same. Also better than having wife cram it in garbage smasher, lol. (Old commercial reference of anyone remembers)

Ha Ha yes sir, the St. Croix won many battles but managed to stay together long enough to get that big ol' girl to the boat. I've saved it for show! Double A by far has the meanest fighters and as you might already know,  rod breakage leads to arm breakage ๐Ÿคฃ
