My son and I fished there last weekend - arrived Saturday afternoon and fished the sundown period at Acker Lake. Stayed in the lodge – very nice as always. Were up early and back on the water at dawn.
The lake is absolutely beautiful. Regular rains has everything green and lush, the lake full running over the spillway pipe. The lake is very close to the lodge, the road in very good and the launch area is rocked into the water. Nice quick drop off – easy to launch and land. We caught fish on a variety of lures along all shorelines and in shallow flats – about 40 bass in all caught in 8 hrs of fishing, half dinks removed and the other half over 14” up to 3.5 pounds returned to the lake. We caught them mainly on topwaters (Pop R, an old Jitterbug and a Super Spook) plus a shallow crankbait, some flukes and Senkos.
Steve Cody was very hospitable. He made sure we were doing ok. He asked and I told him all the fish were strong and healthy, no spots or marks of any kind. He was very happy I left him some of my homemade bread and butter pickles. ๐
The water was clear to 4 ft near the dam,1-2 ft elsewhere. Water temp 86. We caught a mild weekend - air temp up to 88.
All in all a great trip. I look forward to fishing here again.

Looks awesome and sounds like a great few days of fishing. Looks like a super fun lake with lots of trees to fish around and in between.
