Was a warm day but wanted to send it because I had the day off and was rewarded with some fun fishing. Fished from 8-3:30p. Never got on anything of great size… except for the SLAB crappie everywhere. Following all previous reports the crappie are stacked in the middle and into the area going towards the dam. Slow rolling a spinner bait or a small square bill was money for them. I accidentally lost 3-4 crappie that thrashed off before I landed them in my kayak. I guess this is a good and bad sign for the bass population?? I only landed and culled (4) bass which were all 11-13” inches.

I tried a lot of different lures including big swimbaits and smaller creature baits and the only thing I could get them on were really flashy lures and erratic moving small shad/minnow profiles.

Triple J is always a blast since it’s so close to the DFW metro!
