Reservation Number : 36753
Property Name : Little A Lake
Reservation Date : 06/24/2023 All Day -
Total Fish/Sizes : 50 between both lakes
Lures Used : Shaky head and crank bait

First time to little A.  I watched the sun come up so I threw top water for about an hour.  First fish was on a buzz bait but most of the top water was on a popper.  Slow and steady and then explosion!  Now that top water only lasted about an hour.  After that, no clouds and super hot.  I share this not as advice but what I chose to do that worked.  When the wind died down, I threw a TX rig zoom salamander and a zoom worm on a shaky head right at the weed line.  When the wind picked up, I had a 6’, 8’ and 12’ crankbait, all shad/Caribbean color and they were crushing it.  Small fish big fish and everything in between fish...see picture of a perch nailing a crankbait way tooooo big!  I caught 20 before noon at little A, then turned on the AC in the truck and ate lunch while I headed over to wild card.  The first cast at wild card was a catch on the shaky head and I ended up catching 10 there.  Nothing huge but all 1-3#ers.  Then headed back to little A and fished from 2-3:30 there before the heat got the best of me.  The second round at little A had 5 casts in a row with a fish.  Get the boat parallel to the weed line and the crank bait was just getting slammed. In fact one hit it so hard it took it with him...I should have re tied but the fish jumped and the knot just busted...15 pound seagar so if you find a big crank bait keep it and use it😎. The property is well maintained and the water was clear.  Thanks PWF and land owner.  I'll be back but it's too hot right now.

This wouldn’t happen to be your crankbait?  I snagged some line that ws attached to it with my crankbait and remembered you lost one on your report.

Ha, that's the one.  That was the winner along that weed line so keep it, use and I hope you crush it.  Happy summer.

What are the odds!  I can’t keep your crankbait, my cell is 808-779-0727, just text me your address and I will send your way.  You will l need to replace the trebles as they started to corrode, but other than that, it’s like new!

Also, the good news is your knot didn’t bust as it was still tied.  You must’ve had some sort of weakness in your line as it had a good 20 yards or so attached to it.  Something might’ve happened back in your reel to weaken it.
