I fished Salt Lick on Friday and ended with 22 bass, most in the 2 – 3lbs weight class. I hit the water at 11:45, and had two 3 pounders by 12 o’clock (3.06 and 3.11).  Water temp was 80 degrees, 2ft of viz and scattered clouds throughout the day. The majority of the fish were caught on a TRIG or ½ oz jig, but the bigger fish were caught in open water down to 16-18ft on a lipless. 
 
The bigger bass had the post spawn skinny belly and saw alot of forage in the lake. Bluegill starting to set up base camp near the shore and got to watch one get inhaled by a big ol’ bass. Eric has been restocking the lake with thousands of shad and I saw a couple good size shad balls on downscan.  Off the water by 5pm as a nasty storm rolled in.
