Rising Water

I'm wondering what the recent rains have done to places like Backside of the Moon, Medina and Tarpley. Anyone know?

Tom. I fished Tarpley a couple of weeks ago before the recent rains and I would say it is 80% full. The cove on the far right side is almost full. The one to the left is not yet filled all the way back. Depths are still 20-25 ft in the main body. Good vegetation all around.

I need to make a trip to Medina just to check it out.

Let me know if you are headed this way.

Just got home and checked the rain gauge - 4.5 inches. I live about 30 miles east of Tarpley and Medina. I hope those locations, especially Medina, got at least that much rain.

I think it was Howard Taft that said you need a flood to end a drought. The next drought starts when the rains stop.  For me I like green more than I like brown.  Being a gardener this spring has been wonderful. Already picking squash and tomatoes.  This has got to help the Bass too as they now have more places to forage and hide from us fishermen.
