Looking for Recommendation for a Reel Servicing Providor

Would anyone care to recommend a reel specialist for the purpose of cleaning and lubricating spinning and baitcasting reels?

You feedback would be most welcome!

Thanks,

Bob

The best and only place to take your reels in the Dallas area is:

Southwestern Parts & Service

605 W Mockingbird Lane Dallas, Tx

Owners are Paul (Dad) and Shane Moore (son) Been around for 30+ years

They are very familiar with the club as well. They fish Mexico with our landowners over in Marshall, Dr. Brown and his son Craig.

Thanks for the quick feedback David. I was hoping to get a recommendation geographically closer to Houston but will give them a call. Checked out their webpage and they look solid!

I wish I had known about Southwestern. I put 4 reels in for repair at Bass Pro Shop Garland on March 1st. Called the repair center in Missouri today for an update. Found out the local store didn't put my reels on a truck until the 16th and as of today they still hadn't arrived in Missouri! Won't make that mistake again.

Southwestern can have a long lead time as well depending on the time of year. I was in there last week and Paul said current turnaround time was 8-12 weeks. Fall or winter would be the best time to get your gear serviced there.
