Waterboo Lake is a great name, but you did not come for the name, you came to get away from it all, and this place delivers solitude in spades. This 10 acre lake is nestled in an isolated valley of a small mountain. There is a long arm that runs several hundred feet into the mouth of two dry creeks. This arm has a 5 to 7 foot deep channel that runs the length of the arm. The lake has depths to 12 foot and the deeper water is on the cliff side. This lake is perfect for anyone wanting to camp. There is a single 110V outlet for anyone needing electricity. You will likely have no cell service here.

You will need a small SUV or something with more than a car height clearance to navigate a usually dry stream bed during your 2.7 mile drive to the lake. Go slow over the rugged stream bed and if we have had more than a couple of inches of rain, expect the stream to have water. You do not need 4 wheel drive.

Fishing limited to afternoons (1/2 PM) during duck season.

Camping is unavailable during hunting season.

Requirements

MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

If gates are closed, please close gates behind you. If they're open, please leave them open. Active cattle ranch.

Speed limited to 20 mph on ranch roads. Please drive slowly through the barn/ work yard area, be cognoscente of your surroundings and drive courteously.

It is imperative that you extinguish your campfire completely before departing. If you are camping and want to have a fire, please make sure you are only burning wood (without nails) and not other materials are left behind.

1. Allow the firewood to burn completely to ashes if possible. If not, use a tool to spread the burning embers evenly within the fire pit.
2. Slowly pour water over the embers, ensuring that you wet all the ashes and the surrounding ground.
3. Stir the ashes and embers with a stick or shovel, so the water can penetrate and cool the entire fire pit.

Please be aware that failure to comply with these campfire safety rules may result in the termination of your membership or stay at our camping site.
