Welcome to Waco Creek Lake: A Signature 40-Acre Fishing Paradise
Waco Creek Lake is a dream destination for anglers, offering an expansive 40 acres of fishing opportunities, with numerous points, natural structures, and rich vegetation to explore. This premier lake boasts depths of up to 25 feet, with a variety of underwater features including trees, rocks, and lush plant life. Stocked with Florida bass, Waco Creek Lake consistently yields double-digit catches, with the largest recorded bass weighing in at an impressive 13.4 pounds.
• Fishing Experience: Your fishing day rate includes access to a boat equipped with foot-controlled trolling motors and comfortable padded swivel seats. We have up to three boats available, each boat designed for two anglers for an optimal fishing experience. Lodging is also available for guests, ensuring a convenient and enjoyable stay.
Requirements
• Minimum Group Size: A minimum of two adults is required to fish at this site.
• Reservation Requirements: Half-day reservations are only available when booking a full day beforehand. (e.g., Book all day Saturday and half-day Sunday).
• Youth Policy: Kids are welcome but must fish from a boat with two adults. Please note there are no youth rates available.
• Outside Boats: Outside boats are not permitted; fully decked boats with foot-controlled trolling motors and charged batteries are provided and ready for use on the water.
Equipment Use and Trolling Motor Instructions
• Trolling Motor Operation: Our boats are furnished with Minn Kota Fortrex trolling motors, controlled by a toggle switch on the side of the foot control for either momentary or continuous power.
• If unfamiliar with bow-mounted or foot-controlled motors, please contact the club office for tips before your outing.
• Stowing the Front Trolling Motor: To bring up the front trolling motor, step on the bracket mount to relieve tension before reaching the shore. Use the rear trolling motor to guide the boat back to avoid any damage to the front motor.
Conservation and Fishing Practices
• Conservation Rules: Do not harvest any bass as new genetics have been recently introduced.
• Mandatory Removal: Please remove all crappie and catfish caught, and report the number of each species to the club office through the online reservation system.
• Hooks: Only use barbless hooks with soft plastics for more sustainable catch-and-release practices.
Property Etiquette and Safety
• Drive Responsibly: Only drive to designated areas (lake and lodge) and close any gates you open, as open gates can disrupt cattle management.
• Reservation Date Compliance: Your fishing reservation applies only to the specified date. Early or extended fishing (e.g., the night before or morning after) is not allowed and will result in the termination of your membership.

- Two full bathrooms, central A/C and heating, an outdoor picnic table, charcoal grill, and a fire pit for sharing stories after a day on the lake (please bring your own charcoal and firewood).
What to Bring
- Linens & Towels: Please bring your own linens or sleeping bags, pillows, and towels.
- Cleaning Supplies: The cabin does not have a cleaning service due to its remote location, so please leave it as clean as you found it. We kindly ask guests to sweep, wipe counters, and take all trash with them upon departure.
