East Texas Lakeside Retreat: Your Premier Fishing Destination
Located on a tree-lined property in East Texas, this site offers two lakes for an enjoyable fishing outing. The lakes feature the region's characteristic tea-colored waters, adding to the East Texas feel.
East Lake covers 21 acres and was built in 1983. With depths up to 14 feet near the dam, it includes a winding creek channel and plenty of submerged timber through the lake's center. About half the lake has bank access, though fishing by boat is recommended. A jon boat is available for your use, with a lake record bass of 11 lbs.
West Lake, built in 1986, spans 13 acres and is naturally sheltered by trees along its south and west banks, reducing exposure to the southwest winds. Most areas are 5 to 7 feet deep, with a maximum depth of 12 feet. The lake record bass here is 13 lbs. As with East Lake, half the shoreline is accessible from the bank, though boat fishing yields the best results. A club jon boat is also available on West Lake.
Important Access Note: The path to the lakes is secluded and may be challenging to locate, particularly for first-time visitors. Conditions can be rugged or washed out, so please exercise caution. Reach out to the club office by phone or email if you need guidance or assistance finding the way.
Requirements
No Bass Harvest: Do not keep any bass caught at this location. Crappie may be removed as per club policy; please report the number removed through the club's online reservation system following your outing.
No Catfish Harvest: Keeping any catfish from this site is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of club membership.
Fishing Limits: Only fish in the two large lakes, East Lake and West Lake, as indicated on the site map. Fishing in any other lakes on the property is not allowed.
Pathway Conditions: The pathway between East and West Lakes is washed out in certain areas. Please use caution when navigating between them.
General Access Note: The paths to both lakes are not well-marked and may be difficult to find, especially for first-time visitors. Conditions can also be rough or washed out. For assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the club office by phone or email.
