Just a few miles south of I-30, near the town of Sulphur Springs sits the 6.5 acre lake called Triple B. Triple B is a fantastic small lake for the novice fisherman. During our electrofish survey we found water depths to 14 foot but most of the lake is 4-8 foot deep. The lake is loaded with bass 10-14 inches. This would be a great place to take an angler who enjoys more action that size. We will be harvesting aggressively over the next few years to bring up the size of the bass. In the meantime, you can throw your entire tacklebox as there is very little aquatic vegetation. The lake has bullrush and cattails around the perimeter, making fishing from the bank difficult. However, there is a large dock and a wonderful 14-foot jon boat for members to use.

A 14 foot jon boat weighs 150-200 lbs and you may have to flip it over and drag it a few feet into the water. About 50 lbs more than a standard 12 foot jon boat. Boat maybe heavy for some members.

Currently there is not a rock or concrete boat ramp, but launching boats 16 foot and smaller should be just fine.
