This lake is 12 acres and has depths to 16 feet near the dam, the water is very fertile and there is a good forage base of bluegill. The area around the dock has depths to 11 feet. There are shallow flats and deep holes. Water sedges surround most of the perimeter of the lake. Most of the fish are 1-2 lbs with an occasional 4-5 lber. Largest bass recorded is 8.5 lbs. We expect catch rates to be high and this is a great place to take the novice fisherman who enjoys steady action.

Whitesboro Texas is just about 1/2 way between Sherman and Gainesville off Highway 82 about 10 miles south of the red river. Flying M Ranch is just a few miles south of the Oklahoma border and you will likely pass some of the nicest horse ranches Texas has to offer. As you enter this ranch you take the all-weather ranch road which is lined with live oaks that dot the road all the way to where you turn to go to the lake.
