On the same property as Bluebonnet Ridge and Mesquite Valley is a series of three smaller lakes known as the Tear Drop Lakes. The top lake is 4 acres and is known as Upper Tear Drop, the lake in the middle is 5.5 acres and is called Middle Tear Drop and the lake that is last in the series is 2.5 acres called Lower Tear Drop. Upper and Middle Tear Drop both have small fishing docks. Lower Tear Drop is more than 20 years old and is the most shallow of all 3 lakes.

Electrofishing results produced numerous 2-4 lb bass as well as fish over 5 lbs.

Your reservation allows you to fish all 3 lakes. Bank fishing is excellent on all 3 lakes . Launching anything other then a kayak or small plastic boat is not recommened. There is not an improved boat ramp at any of the 3 tanks.

There are NO boats provided at these lakes. Bank fishing or bringing you own small boat is recommended.

Please note your reservation does not allow you to fish the large Bluebonnet Ridge lake or the 8 acre lake known as Mesquite Valley. You need a separate reservation to fish Bluebonnet Ridge and Mesquite Valley.

About 5 miles from the lake is one of the most unusual sites we have seen. A general store with a restaurant in the TINY community of Bristol. Having a restaurant within a general store is in its self not unusual, but having a sushi restaurant; is. Moreover, the sushi is outstanding. In fact, on Friday and Saturday evening the place is packed with folks who drive 40 miles south from Dallas. We have included a current menu in the pictures section of this property. Please note that the hours are a bit unusual and subject to change. As of September 2019 Sushi is available on Wednesday evening and all day Friday-Sunday. For those of you, who are crazy, and don't like sushi, they have breakfast sandwiches in the morning (open at 7:00 AM) and hamburgers and chicken sandwiches for lunch. We recommend you call 972 666 2400 for hours before you go.

Requirements

***DO NOT HARVEST ANY BASS AT THIS SITE. You may still remove any crappie or catfish caught and report them to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing***
