Less than two hours SE of Dallas in the sleepy east Texas town of Neches (pronounced Naches) is this 20 acre gem. Electrofishing results produced an eye popping 7 fish over 6 lbs. in a 40-minute survey. Folks that is as good as it gets for big bass. In more than 500 lakes surveyed only a few lakes have produced that many big bass. However, currently there are very few bass in the 2-5 lb. class. It will likely be a feast or famine scenario. The lake is chalked full of 8-12” bass and loaded with bluegill to feed the bass. What is the reason for so few 2-5 lb bass with a lake full of bait fish? We believe that there are a dozen or so extremely large yellow (Ops) and blue catfish that are simply eating the 2-5lb class of bass. So, the owner and his friends will be working to remove these large catfish.

The lake color is slightly turbid with 15-30” visibility and depths of 18 feet. There are stumps under the water surface and laydowns to target. The owner has personally caught a 12.8 and 11.4 and has replicas in the boat house.

Pine Dunes Golf Course, rated the #1 Resort Golf Course in Texas (Golf Week 2018) is just 15 minutes away. What a great way to spend the weekend. Lodge and play around of Golf at Pine Dunes and spend a morning, afternoon or the whole day fishing a lake with giant bass. Another treat is the quaint convenience store (Van’s Grocery) just 3 minutes away where they will make you the best sausage biscuit breakfast sandwich (opens at 6:00 AM) or an incredible hamburger (until 2:00 PM). There is even a Juke Box for you to choose your old favorites. When was the last time you saw a Juke Box?

Please note that the boat house has a restroom that is available for #1’s only for the ladies. You may not use it for a #2. Please do not touch anything in the club house or use the owner's kayaks or Ranger Bass Boat. You may use the club house to rest, relax or get out of the sun, but no snooping or messing with the owner’s belongings. Failure to abide by this will terminate your membership.

A full size boat ramp has been added capable of launching full size fiberglass bass boats.

Please note that the boat house has a restroom. DO NOT USE THE TOILET. Please do not touch anything in the club house or use the owners kayaks or Ranger Bass Boat. You may use the club house to rest, relax or get out of the sun, but no snooping or messing with the owner’s belongings. Failure to abide by this will terminate your membership.

MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 12” and under at this site as well as all catfish. DO NOT REMOVE any crappie. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.
