Discover the Jewel of Athens: Northeast Lake

Location:

Located in Athens, Texas, Northeast Lake is a scenic 13-acre lake surrounded by oak and pine trees. With depths up to 15 feet, this lake provides excellent fishing conditions in a quiet, natural environment.

Fishing Highlights:

  • Fish Stocking: Northeast Lake is well-stocked with both Florida and native bass, as well as bluegill, making it a great spot for anglers of all levels.

  • Catch Potential: The lake routinely produces bass in the 2 to 4-pound range, with larger fish over 5 pounds common. The current record catch is 11.32 pounds.

  • Fishing Access: Bank fishing is available, and members also have access to a 12-foot jon boat for exploring more of the lake.

Lodging:

For family outings, there is an A-frame cabin available for rent that comfortably sleeps up to seven people. This four-bedroom cabin provides an ideal space for groups looking to spend quality time on the water together.

Note on Availability:

Although lodging is temporarily unavailable, Northeast Lake remains a peaceful and enjoyable fishing destination, perfect for a relaxing day or weekend trip.

Requirements

For a comfortable stay, please remember:

• No pets and no smoking inside the cabin to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

• Members are encouraged to bring their own linens and towels for a more personalized experience.

• We ask that all guests take any trash accumulated during their stay with them upon departure, helping keep this scenic property pristine for future visitors.

Reservation and Check-in Information:

• To reserve the cabin, a one-week notice and a 50% nonrefundable deposit are required.

• Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM (noon), allowing you to relax and enjoy the lake at your own pace.
