Discover the Jewel of Athens: Northeast Lake

Located in Athens, Texas, Northeast Lake is a scenic 13-acre lake surrounded by oak and pine trees. With depths up to 15 feet, this lake provides excellent fishing conditions in a quiet, natural environment.

Northeast Lake is well-stocked with both Florida and native bass, along with bluegill, making it a great spot for anglers of all levels. The lake routinely produces bass in the 2 to 4-pound range, with larger fish over 5 pounds common—our current record is 11.32 pounds. Bank fishing is available, and members also have access to a 12-foot jon boat for exploring more of the lake.

For family outings, there’s an A-frame cabin available for rent, which sleeps up to seven people comfortably. This four-bedroom cabin makes for a great stay for groups looking to spend time on the water together.

Though lodging is temporarily unavailable, Northeast Lake offers a peaceful and enjoyable fishing experience for all.

Requirements

• Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass under 14 inches and all crappie. After your outing, report the total count of each species removed to the club office through the online harvest report system.

For a comfortable stay, please remember:

• No pets and no smoking inside the cabin to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

• Members are encouraged to bring their own linens and towels for a more personalized experience.

• We ask that all guests take any trash accumulated during their stay with them upon departure, helping keep this scenic property pristine for future visitors.

Reservation and Check-in Information:

• To reserve the cabin, a one-week notice and a 50% nonrefundable deposit are required.

• Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 12:00 PM (noon), allowing you to relax and enjoy the lake at your own pace.
