Lake TCU – Great Fishing, Convenient Access, and Stunning Grounds

Located just a short drive from the metroplex, Lake TCU offers exceptional fishing with easy access and impeccably maintained grounds. As you pass through the electronic gate, you’ll be greeted by bronzed deer and buffalo, setting the tone for a tranquil and well-cared-for fishing experience.

Key Features:

  • Shallow Waters: The lake is relatively shallow, with depths ranging from 6-8 feet, and a few areas reaching 12-13 feet. With limited cover or brush piles, you'll find fish scattered throughout the lake, making it an exciting fishing spot for all levels of anglers.

  • Abundant Fish: The lake is home to a variety of 3-4 lb bass, and an electrofishing survey showed an impressive number of healthy, fat fish—likely some of the best-conditioned bass you'll encounter.

  • Three Islands: The lake boasts 3 islands, creating a unique fishing environment and plenty of spots to cast your line.

Boating Details:

  • Jon Boat Provided: A 14-foot jon boat is available for use, although it may be a bit heavy for some to flip over alone.
  • Own Boat: If you're bringing your own boat, note that the perimeter of the lake drops off quickly, so you won't need to back your trailer in very far. Boats larger than 16 feet are not recommended due to the lake's shallow shoreline.

Important Reminder: Please do not remove the lid from the fish feeder. Lost lids are costly, and when it rains, they can ruin the fish feed. We appreciate your understanding!

Requirements


  • MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 14" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

  • DO NOT TOUCH THE FISH FEEDER - the lid has been lost due to member interference multiple times now

  • Take all trash with you. Clean boat of all trash including your used soft plastics.
