Discover Fishing at Lee Lake

Hamilton County is known for its impressive courthouse, but you’re likely here for the fishing. Lee Lake, spanning 20 acres, is located less than two hours south of Fort Worth and north of Austin. This active cattle ranch is home to hundreds of Wagyu cattle, so please remember to keep all gates closed at all times.

The lake runs east to west, with deeper water found on the west side, opposite the boat launch. The water is generally clear, and the dominant aquatic vegetation is millfoil. Anglers will find large redear sunfish and big bluegill, making it a great spot for fly fishing. The lake record bass currently stands at 9.5 lbs.

At the launch area, you’ll find a mini pontoon boat available for use. This boat is wide and stable, featuring a bench seat in the back. However, there is no seat for the person operating the trolling motor at the front, so consider bringing your own folding chair or bucket if you’d like to sit while fishing. For optimal performance, we recommend using a trolling motor with a minimum thrust of 40 lbs.

Requirements

• Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass under 14 inches and all crappie. After your outing, report the total count of each species removed to the club office through the online harvest report system.
