Escape to Indian Hills Farms: Relaxed Farm Living and Scenic Lake Fishing

Indian Hills Farms offers the perfect getaway for fishing and relaxation, just an hour from Austin and two hours from Houston and San Antonio. This charming small farm includes a cozy two-bedroom cabin surrounded by citrus, persimmon, nut trees, and vibrant gardens. A large pavilion by the cabin, complete with a propane grill and seating for 10+, provides the perfect spot to unwind with views overlooking the 16-acre lake.

The lake itself is an angler’s paradise, with depths up to 25 feet, hard-bottom areas, deep holes, and well-placed brush piles. Stocked with bluegill, red ear sunfish, and some gizzard shad, the lake supports a thriving bass population, with fish averaging 12-14 inches and several 7+ pounders recorded, including a few over 8 pounds.

Members can use the 14-foot v-bottom boat conveniently located near the cabin, and the solid ground at the boat launch (across the dam) supports a variety of boat sizes. While catfish can be found here, crappie are absent, making the lake ideal for bass-focused anglers.

Indian Hills Farms brings together a peaceful farm atmosphere with great fishing, making it an ideal spot for a quick weekend escape or a relaxing day trip.

Requirements

• Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass under 14 inches and all crappie. After your outing, report the total count of each species removed to the club office through the online harvest report system.
