Hawg Trough Lake – Heartland 10-10 Ranch

Heartland 10-10 Ranch spans 2,000 acres and features four exceptional lakes, each 35 acres or larger, managed for trophy bass fishing. Hawg Trough Lake, built in 2004, is a 35-acre gem known for its accessibility and big bass potential.

Why Fish Hawg Trough Lake?
  • Trophy Potential: The lake record is 12.14 lbs—just shy of a ShareLunker bass. If you’re aiming for a 10+ lb bass, this lake might be your best bet.
  • Depths: The lake ranges up to 18 feet deep, with average depths of 6 to 8 feet, making it easier to pattern for anglers of all experience levels.
  • Boats Provided: Two 18-foot aluminum boats with live wells, foot-controlled trolling motors, and 24-volt battery systems are available. Additional boats can be relocated based on availability.

Requirements


  • Two Adult Minimum: A minimum of two adults is required to fish this lake.

  • Lake-Specific Reservations: You must fish only the lake you reserve. Driving around the ranch is prohibited to protect the whitetail breeding and hunting operations.

  • Full-Day Required for Half-Day Reservations: No half-day bookings unless a full day is reserved first.

  • Multiple Lakes: To fish more than one lake in a day, make separate reservations for each (e.g., AM and PM).

  • Respect the Property: Avoid damaging roads and paths.

  • Trash Policy: Remove all trash, including fishing line and soft plastics, before leaving.

  • Trolling Motor Tip: To bring the motor up, step on the bracket mount to release the locking mechanism.
