Explore the Thrills of Blue Rock Lake Near Dallas

This 13-acre rock quarry lake is located just 50 miles east of downtown Dallas and is surrounded by a network of quarry lakes within the region. A test conducted in September 2020 revealed a high population of healthy bass, with some reaching weights of up to 6 lbs and a body condition index exceeding 100%.

The lake features a 3-5 ft grass line around its perimeter, where fish tend to congregate, and depths reaching up to 30 feet. Utilizing electronics will help you locate large boulders and other underwater structures.

As there are multiple lakes nearby, please refer to the map included with your reservation for proper navigation. If you find yourself lost, you may be at the wrong gate or road, so double-check before contacting the office for assistance.

Requirements

• Mandatory Fish Removal: Remove all bass under 14 inches and all crappie. After your outing, report the total count of each species removed to the club office through the online harvest report system.

• The entry gate is located next to a residence. Please respect the residents' privacy by making your way to and from the lake as quickly and quietly as possible. If you're meeting someone, please do so at the lake itself or along the County Road, rather than at the gate.

• Remember to take all trash with you when you leave, including cleaning your boat of any debris, especially used soft plastics.

• Please note that there are multiple lakes on this property and in the surrounding area. Your reservation is strictly for this lake only. YOU MAY NOT FISH ANY OTHER LAKE. IGNORANCE OF THIS RULE IS NOT AN EXCUSE. IF YOU FISH IN OTHER LAKES, YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE TERMINATED.
