This property boasts 70 acres of water within 1 mile of Grand Saline Texas. For about 75 years this was the source of water for the city of Grand Saline. Today it is private property and is home to some really fat bass. Electrofish survey produced fish that were 10-20% heavier than their standard length. These fish are bruisers. The lake is full of crappie and there are some giant crappie in this lake. Members have caught some 2.5 lb crappie and catching 2 lb crappie is done on most crappie trips.

Water clarity is about 12-18" and little to no vegetation in the lake. The lake has a robust population of gizzard shad that are the perfect 4-8" size. In 2023 threadfin shad were stocked and it already had an established population of bluegill. The lake is relatively shallow. Most of the lake is 2-5 feet deep with the max depth of 12 feet.

Currently there is NOT a boat for members to use. We anticipate having one by Spring 2024. The owners will be adding lots of structure to the lake by Spring of 2024. It is in need of some laydowns and brush piles.

There is a concrete boat ramp capable of launching full size bass boats. The ramp looks a bit rough, but we had no issue launching our 3500 lb electrofishing boat.

A new fence will be added by Spring of 2024.

There are two homes with docks on the lake. They have permission to fish from their own dock, but may not fish in a boat on the lake.
